Bluehaven Management commissioned the Yellowfox Design team for the interior design of their new development 'Excelsa Village' in Papamoa. The architecture of the homes reflects New Zealand's coastal heritage.

The kitchens feature cabinetry in Bestwood Melamine Arctic White. A clever feature are the benchtops in Wilsonart Blond Echo laminate which have been clashed with a white laminate to create a slick contemporary finish.

Contrasting light with dark, and fine timber grain with corse timber grain is the key to keeping this minimalist kitchen interesting.
The aluminium extrusion handles and pocket-hinged pantry doors conceal appliances and clutter, adding to the clean lines of the design.

This grand gracious family home - inspired by the arts and crafts style - but designed to suit today’s way of living with it’s open plan layout to the family and dining room, and generous walk in scullery it has everything to suit either the entertainer, chef or to make rural family living a delight. The curved island houses a dishwasher and sink, so that even though the kitchen and scullery are large to suit the scale of the house, the chef can still work within an efficient footprint to prepare a meal.

For the walk in scullery the practicality and durability of Bestwood Melamine Ebony Oak made it an ideal finish and material to use in this area that would get a lot of wear and tear. Bestwood Melamine Arctic Grey is featured as the carcass material throughout the kitchen for a subtle and up market look.

Yellowfox was commissioned to design the interiors for this expansive rural home. The focus was on layers of textures and natural colours and materials. Design company Yellowfox is involved in creating interiors in many different locations around New Zealand. When designing the interiors of this new Wanaka development, the idea was to accentuate the drama of the outlook through choice of materials, says designer Andrea Burney.

Bestwood dark-stained oak veneer with a horizontal grain accentuates the length of the base cabinetry.
